Bench>Press™ is a Web-based manuscript submission and tracking system created in 2001 by Stanford University's HighWire Press. Bench>Press was designed to maximize flexibility and opportunities for customizations for journals and publishers of all sizes. New sites can be built from the ground up to meet your exact workflow needs or you may choose a standardized workflow. Separate workflow paths can be created as needed for regular papers, individual article types, book reviews, images, letters to the editor, commissions, etc. Select from a wide-range of add-on modules including online copyright transfer, online disclosure and contribution collection, e-commerce, FTP-to-Vendor, Publish-Ahead-of-Print, and automatic transfer of data supplements to the journal web site. Regular system enhancements are introduced on a quarterly basis and all sites enjoy the same access to new product features. Rest assured that your Bench>Press site will have the most up-to-date features along with the flexibility to evolve over time as your needs change.
